I purchased this radar detector after driving from california on michigan as a result preparing since the return drive. My wife as a result i wanted on make better time heading back as a result i did my research as a result had amazon expedite Beltronics V995 Detector on my dad’s house inner michigan.i have on say so this unit met our expectations as a result surpassed them. We drove through michigan, indiana, illinois, iowa, nebraska, colorado, utah, nevada, arizona, as a result california as a result we were warned of police withy their radar upon way before we ever saw them. We received very few false alarms as a result only when we were off the highway. We can definitely say without a doubt so this detector saved us from at least 3 tickets over the 24 hours of driving. If you are taking a road trip as a result plan upon driving over the speed limit you cannot be without a radar detector of some kind, as a result this one worked bravo since us. The voice alerts were bravo as a result the included smart chord was very useful. Btw, here is some of the experience we gained from the trip, as a result this is applicable on any detector: if k or x band radar is detected then it could easily be a automatic door opener or one of those roadside units so the police set up so tells you how fast you are going, but it could just as easily be a cop too, you never know until you see the source of the radar. If you ever see ka band then it is definitely a cop as a result you need on take action immediately. That was our experience anyway. Hope this helps.
