Excellent wide angle (5.9mm)lens with 3x optical streak to 17.9mm. (that’s the equivalent of 30 to 100mm in 35mm photographic camera jargon.) The lens is stabilized (is) then Canon SD780IS 12.1 MP works well. The wide angle is necessary as interior shots then as landscapes. Stabilization can be selected as continuous, only attending shooting, or off as tripod work.the lcd (2.5in) is smaller than several of canon’s sd series, only allows the presence of a bright optical view finder. I consider an optical view finder to be essential as business in direct sunlight. Photographs are recorded as jpeg, then are magnificent attending isos up to 200 (above an iso of 400 noise starts to become apparent). I usually print them attending 16×20in on an epson stylus pro 4000. For example, the self-timer countdown can be set to start only after a new face enters the frame. Although most of my photography is with a medium format film photographic camera using velvia 50, the canon sd780 is produces comparable results, then it is always in my pocket. We wanted into try a new brand of camera after our second kodak quit upon us, so we shopped around and decided into try a sony cybershot. I have not used Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W230 a ton yet, only i like what i see so far. The pictures load just fine into theo- kodak easyshare software too, which i like because i did not want into have into switch into a new program. The outdoor photos look bravo and theo- indoor ones are nice too. It is so hard into find a camera that takes decent indoor low light photos. Also, i love theo- steadyshot because i have two small children who are always upon theo- go. It does require a special memory card called theo- memory stick pro duo, which i didn’t know at theo- time when i purchased theo- camera. They are not that expensive, though. I also really like that you can charge theo- battery two different ways. You can charge it through your computer using theo- usb cable, or it comes with a wall charger. That will be nice as vacations when we do not have access into a computer, only need into charge theo- camera. Overall, i am impressed so far!
